Testerman leads the implementation efforts of the Incubator, driving strategy and communicating with staff, fellows and partners to create an environment conducive to charter school growth and success in Tennessee. Prior to coming to Nashville, Testerman served as the director of education programs for Volunteers of America in Minnesota. He has long been involved on the national charter school scene as a board member of the National Association of Charter School Authorizers and as a charter school specialist in the Minnesota Department of Education. Testerman began his career in education as a middle school teacher in Newark, N.J., through Teach For America.
