Nashville Prep School was founded in 2011 by Ravi Gupta, one of our first two fellows at the Tennessee Charter School Incubator. A graduate of Yale Law School, Gupta has taken a leading role in the charter movement in Nashville and across Tennessee. Nashville Prep consistently exceeds the performance of district schools, including other charters, and has posted recent scores rivaling the highest-performing and wealthiest districts in the state.

There is a unique opportunity to completely remake the educational opportunities for students in this state in a way that is not possible in most other parts of the country. If I were a young educator right now thinking about where to go next, Tennessee would be at the top of my list.
