Hyde, founder of AutoZone, served as chairman and CEO from 1987 to 1996. He is currently chairman of GTx Inc., a publicly held biopharmaceutical company. Hyde is also the owner and president of Pittco Holdings, Inc., a private, institutional investment company. He serves on the board of directors for FedEx Corporation and AutoZone.
